On the occasion of Yazd’s selection as Tourism Capital of Asia Cooperation Dialogue 2024, a joint meeting of Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) and Asian Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) Member countries was held on March 6, 2024 in the World Heritage City of Yazd.
The two-day event in Yazd saw the ECI President, Dr. Saad S. Khan, holding meetings with the ambassadors of ECO member states including Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan, encouraging them to join the ECI and ratify its charter. In addition, Dr. Khan discussed opportunities to expand cooperation in organizing cultural events with representatives from Tajikistan and Türkiye. The selection of Yazd as the Tourism Capital highlights the city's rich cultural heritage and its potential to attract tourism from across Asia.
